Dr. Stephen P. Richman sold a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 5747 La Gorce Dr. in Miami Beach to Brian M. Torres and his wife, Elsa, for $700,000 on Sept. 29.

The 2,909-square-foot home in the La Gorce neighborhood was built in 1935.

Dr. Richman is an oncologist in Miami. In addition to his practice, he also serves as a professor of medicine at the University of Miami.

He received his M.D. from Case Western Reserve University. He attended the University of Pennsylvania and the Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas for his residencies.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 3,553 sales in Miami Beach in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
