Dr. Janice S. Plaxe bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 471 N.E. Second St. in Boca Raton from Scot B. Rosenberg for $650,000 on Sept. 18.

Mr. Rosenberg bought the property for $640,000 in Dec. 2002. The 3,168-square-foot house in the Boca Raton Eastside neighborhood was built in 1997.

Dr. Plaxe has practiced internal medicine with the Community Medical Center in Toms River, N.J. and Jo-Nan Medical Services in Bayville, N,J.

She earned her medicine degree from New Jersey Medical School in 1992 and completed her residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in 1996.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 1,351 home sales in Boca Raton during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $298,000.
