Dr. Ryan W. Simovitch and Shana S. Hirsch bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 5341 Pennock Point Road in Jupiter from David and Ellen Glowacki for $1.5 million on Sept. 25.

The Glowackis bought the property for $2.525 million in June 2006. The 5,103-square-foot house in the West of Tequesta neighborhood was built in 1996.

Dr. Simovitch serves as a team orthopedist at Palm Beach Atlantic University. He also practices with Palm Beach Orthopedic Institute, which he joined after serving as assistant clinical instructor in the department of orthopaedic surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital.

He finished his B.S. in biology at Duke University in 1996 and earned his M.D. from the Chicago Medical School in 2000. He trained in orthopedic surgery at Duke University Medical Center and received further training at Harvard Shoulder Service of Massachusetts General Hospital.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 1,122 home sales in Jupiter during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $240,000.
