Gourmet food company founder sells 2BD

Medium 46b3d8e4e0c703cbf06cdb4fedb58f24 Jon and Kristin Gundlach sold a two-bedroom, two-bath home at 2317 N.E. 12th Court in Fort Lauderdale to John and Merry Hanson for $430,000 on Sept. 9.

Mr. Gundlach bought the property for $229,000 in June 2000. The 1,608-square-foot house in the Fort Lauderdale East neighborhood was built in 1958.

Gundlach has served as the president and company secretary of Asturias Industries since 2002 and has been on the board of Safe Food Systems Inc. He is the founder and former chief executive officer of Natural Exotic Tropicals Inc., a gourmet food manufacturing company. He was vice president of Indian Hills Grove Inc., a citrus company.

He holds a B.A. in business administration and industrial psychology from Oglethorpe University and an M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 3,577 home sales in Fort Lauderdale in 2008, with a median sales price of $189,900.
