Greek doctor buys condo in The Wave

Medium de0e4c72b7b0c4caf7b66c3b060415a4 Chryssanthos Chryssanthou and Gabriele Chryssanthou bought a one-bedroom, 1.5-bath condo at 2501 S. Ocean Drive Unit #1417 in Hollywood from Carlos Duenas and Sandra Duenas on Nov. 8.

Mr. Duenas paid $390,000 for the property in Sept. 2005. The 835-square-foot unit is one of the 551 units at The Wave development, which was built in 2005. It is located in Hollywood East.

Dr. Chryssanthou is involved with academic medicine, painting, and poetry. He has authored poems which were published in anthology books and journals in the U.S. and Greece. Previously, he has served as professor of Pathology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and director of research administration at Beth Israel Medical Center.

He is a native of Greece, where he obtained his M.D. degree and pursued his postgraduate education in New York.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 2,084 condo sales in Hollywood during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $110,000.
