Prior to that, he was a financial advisor at UBS Financial and vice president at Mount Vernon Assoc. Before that, he served as director at Deutsche Bank and vice president at Maryland National Bank. He also worked as a trader at FNB Maryland.

He obtained his master's degree in finance from Loyola College in Maryland and a B.S. in economics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
