The estate of Dante S. Caputo sold a home at 5288 Sycamore Ave. in Riverdale/North Riverdale/Fieldston to Christopher Chesney and Sarah Cornog for $1.29 million on June 8.

The 2,787-square-foot house in Riverdale was built in 1940.

Caputo worked as an agent at The New York Life Insurance Co. for more than 60 years. He also served in the Army Signal Corps and achieved the rank of captain.

He graduated from Horace Mann School and Williams College.

He passed away in April 2011.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 42 home sales in Riverdale/North Riverdale/Fieldston during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $700,000.
