Architects acquire in Windsor Terrace for $1.225M

Joel Towers and Martina Kohler bought a home at 192 Seeley Street in Windsor Terrace from Steven J. Carroll and the estate of Sylvester J. Carrol, Jr., for $1.225 million on July 9.

The 1,602-square-foot, three-story house was built in 1899.

Towers, an architect, is an associate professor of architecture at Parsons School of Design.

He also has been director of sustainable design and urban ecology, an associate provost for environmental studies, and director of the Tishman environment and design center at Parsons School of Design. He also has been a partner and co-founder in the office of SR+T Architects.

He received his B.S. in architecture from the University of Michigan School of Architecture and his master's degree in architecture from Columbia University.

Kohler is also a registered architect.

There have been 84 home sales in Windsor Terrace in 2008, with a median sales price of $397,500.
