Catherine Crosby and Daniel Holton-Roth bought a house at 185 Lafayette Ave. in Fort Greene from Jerome Ranawake and Rebecca Scott Ranawake for $1.78 million on March 5.

The 2,424-square-foot house, built in 1899, is in the Fort Greene Historic District.

Holton-Roth is a New York-based documentary film producer and legal consultant at Juris Productions. Previously, he was a legal intern at the law firm of Cowan, DeBaets, Abrahams & Sheppard LLP.

He holds a B.A. from Haverford College and a J.D. from CUNY School of Law.

Jerome Ranawake is a partner at the law firm of Freshfields, Bruckhaus & Deringer LLP, where he focuses on prime brokerage, derivatives trading and financing activities.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 41 home sales in Fort Greene during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $675,000.
