Mr. Thompson is a mechanical engineer at Bosch Corp., a manufacturer of power hand tools in Mount Prospect.

He earned his B.S. and M.S. at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Mrs. Thompson is a brand manager of Stove Top dressing at Kraft Foods in Glenview.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and her M.B.A. at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Mr. Zies has served as a district sales manager with Waterbury Cos., Inc., a diversified manufacturer and global marketer of innovative consumer and commercial products in Waterbury, Conn.

He attended Wittenberg University.

Ms. Zies is the owner of Sarah Zies Consulting Inc.

She attended Ohio State University.

There were 72 condo sales in Near North in 2008, with a median price of $371,000.
