Paper company GM sells in South Loop

Medium a8fcc70c72d476311f676fd3e4399748 James and Marie Callerame sold a two-bath home at 1812 S. Calumet Ave. in the South Loop to Timothy and Mary Bradford for $540,000 on June 30.

The Callerames bought the property for $426,000 in Jan. 2003. The 1,908-square-foot house was built in 2004.

Mr. Callerame has worked for International Paper in Chicago as regional general manager and complex general manager. He started out with the company in 1992 as a manufacturer trainee.

He studied aerospace engineering at West Point and earned a pre-medicine degree at Northwestern University in 1998. He obtained a M.B.A. in economics and finance in 2000 from DePaul University.

There were 606 home sales in the South Loop in 2008, with a median sales price of $300,000.
