Educational studies professor sells in Wheaton

Medium e4d3b811ce72a843de0e6e55051a4119 Duane and Muriel Elmer sold a two-bath home at 1104 Cherry St. in Wheaton to Deloris and Douglas Allen for $370,000 on July 22.

The 1,760-square-foot house, which was built in 1985, is in the Wheaton Northeast neighborhood.

Mr. Elmer is the G.W. Aldeen Chair of International Studies and Mission and a professor of educational studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Prior to being joining Trinity, he was a professor of educational ministries at Wheaton College and Graduate School.

He received a diploma in Christian education from Moody Bible Institute and his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Michigan State University.

Ms. Elmer is owner at the Intercultural Competency Scale. Previously, she was an adjunct professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

She received her Ph.D. from Michigan State University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 466 sales in Wheaton in 2008, with a median sales price of $295,000.
