Mr. Mappa is a financial planner in the Glenview office of Fusion Financial Group, an independent financial planning group with member firms nationwide. He also works in the investment group at Quorum Federal Credit Union.

He has a master's degree in financial services and is a registered representative of NFP Securities Inc. He is also a certified financial planner, chartered financial consultant, chartered life underwriter, registered financial consultant, certified fund specialist, certified senior consultant and is board certified in estate planning and mutual funds.

The Mappas sold a three-bath home at 1029 Wrens Gate in for $322,000 on May 28.

There were 286 sales in Buffalo Grove in 2008, with a median sales price of $319,000.
