Music director, vocalist scores 4BD in Lake Zurich

Medium 58616d32e3be2a126e035ab7af42be6b Rory P. Cooney and his wife, Theresa M. Donohoo, bought a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 972 March St. in Lake Zurich from Lori A. Morgan, Lori A. Schuetz and Timothy P. Morgan for $300,000 on June 11.

Lori A. Schuetz bought the property for $285,000 in Aug. 2002. The 2,293-square-foot house in Wicklow Village, which was built in 2001, is in the Lake Zurich Northeast neighborhood.

Cooney is the liturgy and music director at St. Anne Catholic Community in Barrington.

He previously was liturgy and music director for 11 years at St. Jerome Catholic Community in Phoenix, Ariz. He composed a collection of liturgical music published by Catholic Press, World Library Publications and GIA Publications.

He won the 2006 UCMVA Unity Award for best Liturgical Song for "Mass of St. Aidan," which is part of the World Library collection "Christ the Icon."

He received a liberal studies degree from the Corpus Christi Center for Advanced Liturgical Study.

Donohoo is a liturgical vocalist who provides vocals for eleven of Cooney's songs, and travels as a trio with Cooney and Gary Daigle throughout the United States and has performed in England and Ireland.

Previously, she had taught English at Carmel High School in Mundelein, Ill.

She received a B.S. in English from Harper College and master's degree in English from Northern Illinois University.

There were 207 condo sales on the Lake Zurich in 2008, with a median sales price of $297,000.
