Orthopedic surgeon deals Highland Park 5BD

Medium 2ac29b6d223db8838f173dcf3708c246 Dr. Steven Sclamberg and Amy Sclamberg sold a five-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 1219 Glencoe Ave. in Highland Park to Bruce and Alan Freeman for $900,000 on June 18.

The Sclambergs paid $849,900 for the property in Aug. 2002. The 3,429-square-foot house, which was built in 2002, is in the Ravinia Highlands subdivision.

Dr. Sclamberg is an orthopedic surgeon at Niles North Sports Medicine. He specializes in sports medicine, knee and shoulder arthroscopic surgery and joint reconstruction. He is also affiliated with Illinois Bone & Joint Institute.

He also is an attending surgeon at St. Francis Hospital of Evanston, Rush North Shore Hospital, Lutheran General Hospital and Highland Park Hospital.

He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his M.D. from the Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1996, where he also completed his residency in 2001. He finished his fellowship at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in 2002.

There were 277 home sales in Highland Park in 2008, with a median sales price of $450,000.
