Dr. Dipak Ghosh bought a three-bath home at 2435 West Polk Street in Lawndale from Patricia L. Irwin for $455,000 on June 25.

Ms. Irwin bought the property for $395,000 on Nov. 2000. The 3,864-square-foot house was built in 2001.

Dr. Ghosh is the founder of Advanced Health Labs Inc. in Woodridge, Ill.

His earlier research work has led to the development and improvement of several renowned brands such as Vaseline Intensive Care, Pond's skin care and Alberto VO5 hair care.

He holds a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences and is a member of London's Fellow Royal Society of Chemistry.

There were 654 home sales in Lawndale in 2008, with a median sales price of $56,250.
