Dr. Ronald P. Haak and Darlene Ann Markovich sold a three-bedroom, 3.5 bath at 2953 Dove Run Creek Drive in Summerlin South to Earl W. Crouse for $900,000 on Jan. 9, 2006.

Dr. Haak and Markovich paid $514,234 for the property in Oct. 2001. The 2,508 square foot house was built in 2002.

Haak is currently a consultant with OneWorld Health. In the past he has worked as principal scientist and senior vice president for technology development at Alza Corporation, a provider of drug delivery solutions based in Mountain View, Calif. The company merged with Johnson & Johnson. He previously worked as a senior researcher at the Rockwell International Science Center.

He has accumulated over 40 patents.

He has a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California-Santa Barbara.

Mr. Crouse is a partner and office manager with Avalar Real Estate in Las Vegas. He joined Avalar as a business development director.

Prior to moving to Nevada, he worked for independent firms in Northern California.

Home sales in Summerlin South dropped four percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price also fell from $466,000 to $425,000.
