Solange Mikucki and her husband, Richard Mikucki, bought a four-bedroom, four-bath at 8757 Castle Hill Ave. in Las Vegas from Deutsche Bank National Trust Company for $490,000 on May 16.

Deutsche Bank foreclosed on the property in May 2007. Betty and Richard Welker paid $399,950 for it in June 2001.

Mrs. Mikucki is an interior designer and Feng Shui expert. Her Las Vegas-based company, Feng Shui Plus, is one of the few that incorporates interior design with the principles of Feng Shui.

She received her formal training in interior design in France and taught interior design and antique restoration in Germany for five years. She has also conducted architectural and art appreciation tours throughout Europe.

Mrs. Mikucki also maintains a monthly Feng Shui column in Signal's Special Family Monthly Magazine in Santa Clarita, Calif., and conducts Feng Shui seminars and workshops nationwide.

Home sales in Las Vegas increased almost four percent in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales price fell from $275,000 to $230,000.
