Actor Nick Turturro and his wife, Lissa, have listed for sale a five-bedroom, three-bath home at 5232 Beckford Ave. in Tarzana for $1.25 million.

The Turturros purchased the property for $774,545 in Feb. 2003. The 4,007-square-foot house was built in 1956.

Oren David Mordkowitz of Pinnacle Estate Properties is the listing agent for the home.

Turturro is a film, television and stage actor likely best known for his eight seasons as Detective James Martinez on the hit ABC drama "NYPD Blue." He earned two Emmy nominations for his work in the role, in 1994 and 1997.

His other television appearances include brief stints on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Days of Our Lives," "Third Watch" and "The District." He's also delved into film, with roles in the 2005 remake of The Longest Yard as well as I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, World Trade Center and First Sunday.

He is also the younger brother of actor John Turturro.

There were 329 home sales in Tarzana in 2008, with a median sales price of $440,000.
