Kanye West's three-bedroom, four-bath home at 7882 Fareholm Drive in Hollywood is listed for $3.995 million.

Alexander Davis is the listing agent for the property.

West purchased the 4,2140-square-foot home in December 2003 for $1.75 million. It was built in 2002.

Kanye West is a hip hop artist whose career began as producer for artists including Jay-Z, John Legend, Jermaine Dupri, Alicia Keys and Janet Jackson.

He released his debut album "The College Dropout" in 2004 to critical acclaim and went on to be certified triple platinum.

West has since released three additional studio albums: "Late Registration" in 2005, "Graduation" in 2007, and "808s & Heartbreak" in 2008. He is currently working on a fifth studio album, "Good Ass Job".

In 2008, West purchased the rights to the Flatburger restaurant chain in Chicago. He has plans to open 10 of the restaurants in the Chicago area.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 542 home sales in Hollywood during the last 12 months, with a median sales price of $769,000.
