Lawyers buy $3.35M Century condo

Eve Preminger Friedman and her husband, Theodore, bought the 1,725-square-foot Unit #19M at 25 Central Park W. in Lincoln Square for $3.35 million from Madison Central Realty on July 17.

Mrs. Preminger is a former New York Surrogate's Court judge (1991-2005) who now serves as counsel for the law firm of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, which has offices in New York and Paris. She was previously a Justice of the Supreme Court in New York County (1987-1990). Preminger also previously worked in private practice, specializing in commercial litigation and criminal trials.

Preminger attended Columbia University and Columbia Law School, receiving her LL.B. in 1960.

Mr. Friedman has practiced law in Manhattan and graduated from Harvard Law School in 1956.

Condo sales in Lincoln Square were up 14 percent in 2007 compared to 2006. The median sales price rose 23 percent, from $1.2 million in 2006 to $1.5 million in 2007.

Sales in the 32-story Century, built in 1932, rose 28 percent last year, from 14 in 2006 to 18 in 2007. The median sales price dropped 22 percent in that time, from $1.875 million to $1.45 million.
