Real estate lawyer spends $1.03M in Gramercy Park

Neil H. Kessner and his wife, Sandra, bought Unit #V20F in the Zeckendorf Towers development at 1 Irving Place in Gramercy Park from Michael L. Woolley and Manisha M. Sheth for $1.03 million on July 7.

Mr. Kessner is an executive vice president and leasing counsel at SL Green Realty Corp., in Manhattan.

He joined the firm in 2000 after working for Williams Real Estate Co., for two years. Prior to that, he was a partner at the law firm Kessner & Mass, LLP, where he worked with commercial landlords, and office and retail tenants.

He graduated in 1980 from the City University of New York and earned his law degree in 1982 from New York Law School.

Mr. Woolley is an associate in the litigation group at the New York office of Seward & Kissell.

He graduated in 1995 from the University of Nebraska and obtained his law degree in 1998 from Georgetown University Law Center.

Zeckendorf Towers, which was built in 1988, is a four-tower complex featuring a total of 645 units.

Condo sales in Gramercy Park were up 25 percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price was also up from $590,000 to $670,000 during the same period.
