Pharma finance exec buys in Battery Park City

James F. Oliviero, III, and Jennifer V. Insardi bought a two-bedroom, three-bath condo at 30 W. St. in Battery Park City from the Nyt Team of New York, Inc., for $1.725 million on July 8.

The Nyt Team of New York, Inc., paid $1.62 million for Unit #32E in May 2007. The condo is in Millennium Tower Residences, a condominium high-rise at the corner of First Place.

Oliviero is the vice president for finance of Keryx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., a New York City company that acquires, develops and commercializes pharmaceutical products.

Prior to joining Keryx, he was the director of finance for ACCESS Oncology, Inc., a privately-held biotechnology company. He also worked as an investment banker at ING Barings Furman Selz.

He earned his bachelor's in finance from Emory University in Atlanta.

Millennium Tower Residences, which was built in 2006, has 236 units on 35 floors.

Condo sales in Battery Park City/Lower Manhattan did not change from 2006 to 2007. The median sales price, however, jumped from $650,000 to $985,000 last year.
