Auction house officer sells Carnegie Hall 2BD

Adriano and Suzanne DeCardenas sold the two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 120 E. 87th St. in Carnegie Hall to Richard M. Levine and Elisabeth D. Cholnoky for $2.85 million on July 1.

Unit #PPH1B is in Park Avenue Court, a high-rise between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue.

Mr. DeCardenas has served as the head of marketing strategy, advertising and e-marketing at Christie's, an art business and a fine arts auction house founded in 1766.

Prior to joining Christie's, he served as executive vice president and managing director at RTC Relationship Marketing. He also worked at Citibank as an assistant vice president of marketing and as a marketing director at Digitas, an interactive agency network for creative marketing and media agencies.

He earned his bachelor's from the University of Miami and his master's from Hofstra University.

There are 223 units in the 17-story building at 120 E. 87th St., which is also known as Park Avenue Court. It was constructed in 1989.

Condo sales in Carnegie Hall are down nearly 34 percent thus far in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales price, however, is up from $1.1 million to $1.2 million so far this year.
