Tugba Cayirli and Rifat Cayirli bought condo Unit #5J at 201 W. 72nd St. in Lincoln Square from Charles H. Kariya for $515,000 on July 10.

The condo is in The Alexandria, located between West End Avenue and Broadway.

Ms. Cayirli has served as a special assistant professor of operations management at Hofstra University and Bernard M. Baruch College.

She earned her MBA, master's in philosophy and Ph.D. from The City University of New York. She received her bachelor's from Bogazici University in Istanbul.

There are 202 units in the 25-story building at 201 W. 72nd St., also known as href="http://manhattan.blockshopper.com/condos/development/29520"target="_new">The Alexandria. It was constructed in 1991.

Condo sales in Lincoln Square rose 14 percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price also went up from $1.2 million to $1.5 million.
