Window service owners buy in Greenwich Village

Camille Rosenberg and Norman Rosenberg bought a condo at 23 Greenwich Ave. in Greenwich Village from Abe Rutman for $500,000 on July 10.

Unit #4E is in a co-op building at the corner of West 10th Street.

Ms. Rosenberg is the co-owner of Rosenberg Custom Window Treatment Service, a New Jersey provider of window covering for interior designers, architects, homebuilders and commercial clients. She is the creator of full size patterns and scale drawings for all drapery treatments, and she also supervises the company's seamstresses.

Prior to Rosenberg Custom Window Treatment Service, she worked as a fashion designer.

Mr. Rosenberg is the president and also a co-owner at Rosenberg Custom Window Treatment Service, which was founded by his parents in 1958.

There are 151 units in the 15-story building at 23 Greenwich Ave. It was constructed in 1961.

Sales in Greenwich Village are down 41 percent in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales price, however, is up from $756,000 to $885,000 so far this year.
