Marketing firm founders selling Center City West condo

Medium 5437c847d2323911b9e63a5aa49d81dc Keith and Beatriz Ashfield have listed for sale a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 2201 Chestnut St. in Center City West for $449,900.

Isabelle Meyer of Plumer & Associates, Inc. is the agent for the listing. The Ashfields paid $349,900 for the 1,325-square-foot Unit #502 in Nov. 2003.

Mr. Ashfield is president of Caslon Business Development Inc., a Philadelphia-based provider of marketing solutions. He also is an independent director at Kogan Page Ltd., Europe's largest independent publisher of business books.

He formerly co-founded MBKA Inc., a New York-based producer of sports books, where he also was director. He spent 15 years as president and chief executive officer of Humanities Press International, a publisher of journals and books about social sciences and humanities. He also was an acquisition editor for Allen & Unwin, chairman at Modern English Publications and editor for Oxford University Press.

He attended Ashridge Business School and the London School of Printing.

Ms. Ashfield is a founding partner at Caslon Business Development Inc.

She previously was vice president of marketing and sales at Humanities Press International. She also was director of the trade event The London Book Fair.

The nine-story Coronado condominium is a pre-war building built in 1910. It has 36 units.

There were 298 condo sales in Center City West in 2008, with a median price of $352,500.
