Max T. Zahniser and Meghan A. Fay bought a three-story home at 2233 Grays Ferry Ave. in Schuylkill from Todd and Anastasia Yocum for $415,000 on July 1.

The 2,376-square-foot house was built in 1915.

Mr. Zahniser is the chief executive officer of Praxis Building Solutions LLC, a technical sustainability consulting company.

He previously spent a year as director of sustainability at Wallace Roberts & Todd, a planning, landscape and architecture firm. He also spent two years as LEED certification manager for the U.S. Green Building Council and went on to become the LEED process and integration program manager.

There were 259 home sales in Schuylkill in 2008, with a median sale price of $272,250.
