Mr. Furda is dean of admissions at the University of Pennsylvania.

He previously was vice president for alumni relations and former executive director of undergraduate admissions at Columbia University. Prior to that, he was the regional director of the University of Pennsylvania from 1987 until 1991.

Furda received a B.A. in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. in education from the Teachers College at Columbia.
