Oliver and Astrid Burckhardt bought a 3,995-square-foot home at 139 Pelham Road in West Mount Airy from Daniel D. Husted and Laura C. Churchman for $670,000 on June 11.

Husted and Churchman paid $425,000 for the property in April 2003. The home was built in 1925.

Mr. Burckhardt is a senior manager at International Rectifier Corp., an El Segundo-based manufacturer of power semiconductors. He joined the company as a customer support manager for its operations in Central Europe.

Prior to joining International Rectifier, he was director of global sales building at HTS Germany. Before that, he was a senior manager with ATC. He also worked as an engineer for semiconductor processing and equipment manufacturing at Leybold AG.

He has an M.S. in physics from Frankfurt University and a Ph.D. in management and organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix.

There were 121 sales in West Mount Airy in 2008, with a median sales price of $234,500.
