David Grimaldi bought a one-bedroom, one-bath condo at 1600 Arch St. in Center City West from SAS 1600 Arch St. LP for $280,000 on March 20.

The 763-square-foot condo, Unit 1004, is one of 267 units in The Phoenix condominium development, built in 1925.

Grimaldi is the head of the real estate investment group of Minmetals Inc., which engages in trading iron and steel products. Previously, he was an asset manager at Minmetals and a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley.

He holds a B.S. in finance from California State University-Fullerton.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 251 condo sales in Center City West during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $335,000.
