North Carolina back specialist settles on $1.3M Wellington home

Dr. Thomas A. Dimmig, Avery Dimmig and Jane Dimmig bought a four-bedroom, four bath at 12012 Longwood Green Dr. in Wellington for $1.3 million from Valerie Gregory-Lee on Jan. 24, 2006.

Gregory-Lee paid $770,000 for the property in Nov. 2001.

The 3,388 square foot home was built in 1982.

Dr. Dimmig is an orthopedic surgeon at Triangle Orthopaedic Associates in Durham, N.C. He specializes in the treatment of spine disorders, artificial disc replacement, trauma, joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery. He practices at a number of sites in the Durham area, including the Durham Regional Hospital, the University of North Carolina Hospitals and the North Carolina Specialty Hospital.

He is a graduate of the Duke University Medical School.

Avery Dimmig is an amateur equestrian competing in Wellington.

Home sales in Wellington dropped more than 33 percent in 2007. The median sales price also dropped from $450,000 in 2006 to $382,000 last year.
