Sculptor deals Gulf Stream 5BD for $2.6M

Medium c43965750a73ff2319ca6f4bef76da86 Christopher and Shelley O'Hare sold a five-bedroom, 5.5-bath home at 530 Middle Road in Gulf Stream to Christopher and Kerry Metz for $2.6 million on Nov. 2.

The O'Hares paid $2.33 million for the property in Dec. 2003. The 4,678-square-foot home in Gulf Stream Bayside was built in 1960. It is located in the Gulfstream Cove subdivision.

Chris O'Hare, a sculptor, is the owner of Pineapple Grove Designs, a provider of architectural products. He is also a licensed general contractor and landscape architect.

Christopher Metz is a managing director of Sun Capital Partners Inc., a private investment firm headquartered in Boca Raton. He previously served as president of Black & Decker's hardware and home improvement group. He has also served Black & Decker as president of Kwikset Corp., president of Price Pfister and vice president and general manager of European Professional Power Tools and Accessories.

He has a B.S. in finance and marketing from the University of Delaware and an M.B.A. from the Kenan Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.

The Metzes also own a home at 539 Middle Road in Gulf Stream. They paid $3.17 million for the property in July 2005.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 26 home sales in Gulf Stream during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1.36 million.
