Couple spends $720K for Clayton 4BD

Julie Ettinger and her husband, Loren, bought a four-bedroom, 3.5 bath home at 7441 Byron Place in Clayton for $720,000 from Michael J. Graham and his wife, Joanne, on April 23.

The Grahams paid $565,000 for the home in June 2004. The 2,839 square foot house was built in 1930.

Mrs. Ettinger works at Ylang-Ylang Fine Jewelry, a family-owned and family-operated jewelry business in St. Louis. The company was founded by her parents.

Mr. Ettinger is a vice president of development and brokerage in the St. Louis office of Koman Properties, where he also serves as project manager for the redevelopment of Mayfair Plaza and Commerce Plaza. He joined the company in June.

He previously served in the development department at Walpert Properties Inc. He earned his J.D. from the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis and his bachelor's from Indiana University.

The Ettingers sold their four-bedroom home at 45 Hillvale Dr. in Clayton for $907,500 on April 23.

Home sales in Clayton have increased 5.6 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price, however, has dropped from $511,000 in 2007 to $376,000 thus far in 2008.
