Secretary of the Air Force lived in this building

Diplomat, Thomas Finletter, lived in this building in 1967. He was the second Secretary of the Air Force. Finletter was a consultant at the United Nations Conference in 1945. The conference was convened to organize the newly created United Nations. Finletter served as Secretary of the Air Force from 1950 to 1953 and was Ambassador to NATO from 1961 to 1965. He passed away in 1980.
