James Martin Associates, a landscaping company serving Libertyville for over 35 years completed a comprehensive full-site landscape redesign at 1210 Sandstone Drive in Libertyville.

The project began with a new brick paver driveway that gives the front entry an enhanced look and compliments the stonework on the house. The new bluestone entry was realigned farther from the house and the plant material was chosen to allow for an open view to and from the
home.

New pavers that compliment the driveway pavers were mortared onto the existing concrete walkway, and a handrail matching the rear deck was installed. The deck was removed and the gazebo was renovated to work with the new bluestone patio which transitions gracefully to the lawn and allows for open views to the lake. Eden stone steps were used to transition from the existing walkway to the new bluestone patio.

A Wisconsin Lannon stone seat wall frames the patio space and provides a hearth area for the new fireplace. Beneath the new rear deck an intimate seating area was created with bluestone and potted plants.

Flagstone steppers set on the lawn provides a path to the storage shed and beach shower. The walkways, patio and gazebo were enhanced with perennials, annuals and ornamental trees and highlighted with installed landscape lighting. The landscape was designed by Landscape Architect Tom Bolas.
