President John F. Kennedy owned this house as a bachelor. He became President in 1961 and was assassinated in 1963. Kennedy was the first and only Catholic President, only President to win a Pulitzer Prize, and the first President born in the 20th Century. He married Jacqueline Bouvier in 1953.
