Robert Todd Lincoln was chairman of the board for the George Pullman Co. when he bought this house in 1918. He was the son of President Abraham Lincoln. George Pullman Co. manufactured the famous Pullman sleeping car. Lincoln was U.S. Secretary of War from 1881 to 1885 during the Garfield Administration. He was chairman of the board for the George Pullman Co. and lived in this house until he passed away in 1926.
