Roy Deferrari was Secretary General of the Catholic University of America in 1947 when he owned this house. He began his career at the Catholic University of America in 1918 as a Professor of Greek and Latin. Deferrari was a member of the 814th Aero Squadron during World War I. He retired in 1960 and passed away in 1969.
