Academy Award winning actress Myrna Loy lived in this house in 1952. She lived here while her husband, Howland H. Sargent, was assistant secretary of state for public affairs and she was serving at UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. Loy was awarded an Honorary Oscar in 1990. She starred opposite William Powell in the popular "Thin Man" film series of the 1930's. Loy passed away in 1993.
