New Deal "Brain Trust" member lived here

Attorney Benjamin Cohen was a member of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's "Brain Trust' when he lived in this house during the 1930's. He played a vital role in the financial legislation of the "New Deal" and the Securities Act of 1933. Cohen was a model for future presidential assistants. A biography of Cohen is entitled "Benjamin V. Cohen: Architecht of the New Deal." Cohen passed away in 1983.
