Pulitzer Prize winning nationally syndicated columnist owned this house

Nationally syndicated columnist Marquis Childs owned this house in 1967. He was the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Washington bureau chief from 1962 to 1969. From the 1940s to the 1970s he wrote a popular syndicated column on politics. Childs was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for "distinguished commentary during 1969." He passed away in 1990.
