United States Senator (PA), James H. Duff, owned this house when he passed away in 1969. He was attorney general of Pennsylvania (1943-1947), governor (1947-1951), and senator (1951-1957). Duff was a partner in the Washington, D.C. law firm Davies, Richburg, Tydings, Landa and Duff when he passed away.
