Ernest Knaebel was Assistant Attorney General of the United States in 1913 when he owned this house. He was the United States Supreme Court Reporter of Decisions from 1915 to 1944. Knaebel was charged with editing and publishing the Court's opinions. He was U.S. Attorney for Denver, Colorado from 1902 to 1907. Knaebel passed away in 1947.
