Spring Market Sales?

Often times, a homeowner makes the choice of waiting until the warm Spring or Summer season to put their house on the market. There are advantages and disadvantages to this.

What happens during the Winter? During the winter, I work with plenty of buyers who are VERY serious and ready to purchase. Often times these winter buyers tend to do very well because there are fewer buyers out there to compete with eduring the cold months. Also, the seller is usuall unsettled due to low numbers of prospective buyers in the winter. This means that there is a greater chance of a homeowner 'jumping' at the first offer that comes accross.

On the other hand, many more homes hit the market in the summer months. This means more inventory to choose from, but dont forget that you may be competing with numerous Spring market buyers...which may drive up the price.
