President and assassin's doctor owned this house

Daniel Lamb was a professor of medicine and anatomy at Howard University in 1915 when he owned this house. He conducted the post-mortem examination of President James A. Garfield in 1881 and his assassin Charles Guiteau in 1882. Lamb was also an editor of the Washington Medical Annals.
