Chad and Jennifer Rakvin bought a 3.5-bath home at 436 S. Stone Ave. in La Grange from Melissa and Kent Voetberg for $732,500 on June 29.

The Voelbergs bought the property for $760,000 in Dec. 2006. The 3,712-square-foot house was built in 1910 in the Central La Grange neighborhood.

Mr. Ravkin is senior vice president and director of global equity index management for the quantitative management group of Northern Trust Global Investments. Before he joined Northern Trust in 2005, he was principal and head of index research for Barclays Global Investors in San Francisco and was manager of quantitative analysis for Dow Jones Indexes.

He obtained his B.S. in finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

There were 167 home sales in La Grange in 2008, with a median sales price of $449,500.
