Eugene A. Calub and Tina M. Grieco-Calub bought a home at 26W500 Jewell Road in Winfield from Jeffrey and Melissa Luetkehans for $256,500 on Aug. 6.

The 1,370-square-foot home sold for $267,500 in July 2006. It was built in 1972 in the McIntosh & Co. subdivision.

Ms. Grieco-Calub serves as an assistant professor of audiology at the Northern Illinois University School of Allied Health and Communicative Disorders.

She holds a B.S. in communication sciences and disorders from Marywood University (1995), an M.S. in hearing and speech science from Vanderbilt University (1997) and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Northwestern University (2005). She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Mr. Calub serves as a merchandising supervisor at Zenith Media Services. He previously served as promotions director at Carat, as an account executive at Montgomery, Zukerman, Davis Inc., as a promotion manager at WPNT-FM and as a promotion director at WXRT-FM.

He holds a B.A. in communications from the University of Michigan (1989).

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 71 home sales in Winfield in 2008, with a median sales price of $263,250.
