Dr. Heather M. Kempczinski and Christopher J. Kempczinski bought a four-bedroom, six-bath at 1010 Ashley Road in Lake Forest from William and Rosemary Kehr for $1.5 million on Sept. 9.

The Kehrs paid $1.6 million for the property in April 2002.

The 4,820-square-foot home was built in 1989 in the Lake Forest East neighborhood.

Dr. Kempczinski is a pediatrician.

She has a B.S. in biology from Duke University and an M.D. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass.

Mr. Kempczinski is vice president of marketing for non-carbonated beverages at Pepsi-Cola North America Beverages, a manufacturer and seller of beverage products headquartered in Purchase.

He also worked in brand management at Procter & Gamble and Boston Consulting Group.

He has a B.A. degree in economics from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 155 sales in Lake Forest in 2008, with median sales price of $769,851.
