Landscape architect sells Highland Park home to musical conductor

Medium 218a9db73cad196cc52ec15b547c63a0 Michael G. Norpell sold a two-bath home at 1103 Hillcrest Ave. in Highland Park to Kirsten L. Hedegaard and Douglas A. Lewis for $415,000 on Sept. 18.

The 2,127-square-foot home was built in 1929 in Briargate Villas subdivision in the neighborhood of Highland Park West.

Norpell is the founder of M design LLC, a residential landscape design company, which provides design service, landscape construction, and management and supervision services to North Shore residential communities.

He received a B.S. in biology and art history, while teaching studio art courses in printmaking, from Denison University in Granville. He holds a master's degree in landscape architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Hedegaard is a self-employed musical conductor.

She graduated from Northwestern University (1993).

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 240 home sales in Highland Park in 2008, with a median sales price of $432,430.
